Hand-A lets you play every part of the song on a single instrument. Switch easily between Drum, Bass, Chord, and Lead parts, then layer them to create a song with the built-in looper. It takes just a few seconds to loop a beat, and then you can play along for hours.
PLAY ON YOUR WAY:
Hand-A’s touch and motion sensors combine to capture even your most subtle gestures. Pick it up and hold it, or just reach over and play a few notes while it’s sitting on your desk. Play it with one hand or both, with your fingertips or thumbs, or shake and wave it through the air. You can slide around each pad, or go crazy with some vibrato. Circle your fingers over the top like a singing bowl, or strum an invisible guitar.

There are three ways to make music with Hand-A: play immediately with the onboard synth, customize with our cross-platform app, or use it as a MIDI controller via Bluetooth LE or USB.

1. Play with the versatile onboard synth

We designed an innovative new synthesizer engine for Hand-A, with a broad range of synth sounds that work seamlessly with various playing gestures. Hand-A’s embedded looper means you can layer multiple parts without ever looking at a screen. The built-in speaker lets you make sound immediately (and it’s loud enough for a bit of karaoke). Plug in headphones to play alone or an external amp to play it loud.

2. Connect to the companion app

Available for Mac, iOS, Windows, and Android, the Hand-A app will let you access more sounds, presets, loops, and settings. The app is also where you’ll be able to save and edit your loops and songs. And of course, you can share your songs to social media and export to your favorite music-making software to keep building your beats. 


3. MIDI over Bluetooth LE and USB
Hand-A takes the power of apps like GarageBand beyond the screen, putting the music back in your hands. Hand-A is compatible with any MIDI app (including MPE synths and software) and all MIDI-enabled DAWs (GarageBand, Pro Tools, Ableton Live, FL Studio, etc.). Think of Hand-A as a musical mouse, giving you intuitive control over your synths and samples.
Hand-A is also an advanced MIDI controller, and it works with all of your favorite music apps.
